About the Team:
In 2006 we established a private institution, working in concord with our local Department of Infectious Diseases with the aim of improving treatment results. We also aim at discovering new applications for diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in cooperation with other medical fields.Our core group consists of a specialist working at the Department of Infectious Diseases and an international group of students, scientists and exchange professionals.
Granulocyte recruited to the site of injury during bacterial infection produce acute phase substances in order to inhibit the infection and to regenerate the injuries in affected epithelial cells. With a knowledge about the specific affinity of some substances produced by mesenchymal cells in response to severe infection we have developed a one step, one minute strip test for a colorimetric detection of a bacterial infection.
