About this entry

We are a multi-disciplinary research team from St. John's Research Institute and St. John's Medical College Hospital at Bangalore with expertise in physics, microbiology, nanomedicine, bioengineering, electrical engineering, and general medicine. We are developing a method combining nanomagnetism and electrophoresis to rapidly separate bacteria from blood. The rapid separation of bacteria from blood would facilitate their genetic identification by DNA microarray, PCR, or other methods so that the proper antibiotic regimen can quickly be selected for the septic patient.

If you would like to be introduced to this team for collaboration, get in touch with the Longitude prize.
