Panel discussion: Learn how to attract investment to fund product development and scale your company
On 30 September 2020, the Longitude Prize hosted a virtual workshop as part of the Longitude Prize Sprint Programme. This workshop drew upon insights from medtech startup founders, venture capitalists and impact investors to explore strategies to fund, build and scale medtech products.
In this video, an expert panel of investors and entrepreneurs debate the ‘dos and don’ts’ of seeking funding. The panel discuss the importance of resilience in entrepreneurs, the human aspect of the investor-investee relationship, and the need for start-ups to conduct due diligence on potential investors. They also explore the impact of Covid-19 on investing in the medtech landscape, and the role that culture can play in an investor’s funding approach.
