Write for us

The Longitude Prize blog exists to share different perspectives of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), as well as to announce prize progress. It is not an exhaustive or unbiased source of AMR news or information, nor a scientific publication. The views presented in each blog represent solely those of the author(s).

We welcome submissions from anyone working on projects, research, public engagement or other activity with AMR as a focus. We also consider posts from individuals affected by AMR, directly or as family members or friends. Posts can be a narrative, a list feature or a photo/video story, and we are open to other suggestions.

If you're interested in submitting an idea for an article, please write to longitude [dot] prize [at] nesta [dot] org [dot] uk briefly outlining the subject.

Once your idea has been accepted for publication, we ask that you please adhere to the agreed deadline.

When submitting your blog post, please adhere to these guidelines:

  • Posts should be 600-1,000 words.
  • Posts should be written for a wide audience and avoid jargon or technical language.
  • Posts should employ techniques that grab readers' attention, including:
    -Bulleted lists
    -Short paragraphs
  • Include links to other sites, blogs, and partner organisations that you mention. You may also include recommended further reading.
