Daniel, an experienced leader in international health care innovation began his career supporting pharmaceutical companies to introduce innovative products in the US and Europe.
He then spent 16 years at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) where he focused on creating links between health care innovators and product developers/manufacturers to bring novel products to lower and middle-income countries (LMICs).
At Challenge Works Daniel heads the Global Health team that is currently running the Longitude Prize on AMR and the Global Surgical Training Challenge focused on adapting simulation training for surgeons in LMICs.
His team is also working on completing the Longitude Prize on Dementia to incentivise creation of personalised and accessible tools for people living with cognitive impairment. They have also designed a Prize designed to create biofeedback tools to help people manage chronic pain.

At Challenge Works, Jasmin is the Programme Manager in the Global Health working on the Longitude Prize on AMR.
Before Challenge Works, Jasmin worked at the Wellcome Trust in a number of roles, including evaluation, science funding, and programme management. Jasmin is particularly interested in global health, and holds a degree in the subject. She also recently supported the NIHR-Wellcome Global Health Research partnership through a stint in the Department of Health.
In her spare time, Jasmin enjoys travel, cooking, hiking, and being by the sea.

Max is a Programme Coordinator within the Global Health team in Challenge Works, supporting the Longitude Prize on Dementia and Longitude Prize on Antimicrobial Resistance.
Before joining Challenge Works, Max worked as an account manager within several creative marketing agencies, working with clients such as Samsung and Adidas.
He has always had a deep interest in global affairs and is inspired by the potential of challenge prizes to tackle real world issues.
Outside of work you will likely find him in the kitchen, exploring the UK by bike or foot, or plotting a new creative side project.
Tris has led Challenge Works from its origins as a Nesta experiment to being a global hub for expertise and insight on challenge prizes. His aim is to deliver challenge prizes that inspire and enable the development of high impact innovations
Before joining Challenge Works, Tris co-founded and led the social enterprise Tempo and was included in the first cohort of the Observer’s New Radicals. Tris has also run a Welsh university think tank, founded a social sector consultancy and was a Teach First Geography teacher complete with corduroy jacket.
In 2012 Tris was included on the Independent on Sunday’s ‘Happy List’ the alternative to the Sunday Times Rich List. Tris would rather be on the other list.

As Communications Manager for Challenge Works, Shae works across all themes centre-wide, aiming to encourage more people to enter our prizes through digital engagement.
Their background is in digital content, marketing and campaign management for several science charities and health publications, including SciDev.Net and the Wellcome Trust, focusing on developing user-friendly content and design for website and social media.
They have extensive website, social media, product management, design and editorial skills and a proven track record of tailoring content to different platforms, delivering complex strategies and projects.
Nicole is an Assistant Programme Manager in the Global Health and Disability team, working directly on the Longitude Prize for Antimicrobial Resistance.
In addition to the day to day running of Challenge Works, Holly has designed and delivered a wide portfolio of challenge prizes since joining the team in 2015. She is passionate about building impactful partnerships with clients, from upfront strategic design and stakeholder engagement, through to successful delivery and all that it entails.
Before joining Challenge Works, Holly advised corporates, government and charities on a range of initiatives, often bringing together technology and people to tackle big problems. Previously, she worked in product innovation for Barclays in the UK and Africa, and was also part of London 2012’s bid team from the very start of the bid, through to successfully being awarded the Olympic and Paralympic Games two years later. She has a Masters in Engineering from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD.
